April 15th, 1912
The ship famously named RMS Titanic sank into the Atlantic. She was a monument to human intelligence and engineering. A giant amongst ships. She had innovations that no other ship of her time had. She was longer and higher than any ship had been before her. She was elegant, beautiful, luxury on the sea. Titanic reigned supreme.
Until, either by fate or ignorance, she sank, taking 1,514 passengers and crew with her.
Only 710 people survived. That's only a 32% survival rate.
The world mourned the deaths of so many.
A century has passed since that fateful day. No survivors still live, but their legacy holds on. We have learned from her folly but never forget.
