Gettin' Crafty

Ok so I have an addiction and it's known as Pinning. Yes, I joined the fabulous world of Pinterest about a year ago and have loved every minute of it! It helps me get my creative juices flowing.
So when my parent's 22nd anniversary came up, I just knew that I had to do something crafty.

Finished Product
 Supplies Used:
  • Scrapbook Frame (or a Shadowbox frame would work as well)
  • Wooden Letters
  • Felt Letters
  • Scrapbook Paper
  • Black Paint
  • Elmer's Glue
  • Silver Sharpie (not seen)
  • Fine Tip Black Sharpie
I painted the wooden letters T and R black. Used regular 'ol Elmer's Glue to attach the painted letters to the lovely scrapbook paper. With a Fine Tip Sharpie, I wrote, "Unified by God and Love April 7th, 1990". The Felt Letters were already sticky, so I just aligned them the way I wanted and stuck them on the paper. When the paper was in the frame, my siblings and I all signed the back using a silver Sharpie. All in all, this was fairly simple. The longest part was waiting for the paint to dry.

Hobby Lobby was having a sale (40% off all scrapbook supplies) so I recieved a fairly good deal on all the items. The frame itself originally cost $20. I purchased all of the supplies for $18.

My parents loved the gift and had a wonderful anniversary. They went to the Refectory Restaurant. I came in about an hour before their reservation to decorate their table with the gift, cards, and a bouquet of flowers that my siblings and I had purchased for them.

Totally worth it!

Anyway, have you all been crafting lately? What are some of your projects right now?
